COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
BIRTH PREPARATION IN THE GROUP / INDIVIDUAL PREPARATION
We offer our birth preparation classes for couples as a monthly intensive course, i.e. on Fridays from 4pm to 8pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Content includes information about pregnancy, birth, clinic procedures, postpartum and breastfeeding, breathing and relaxation exercises, and answering as many questions as possible. There is also a focus on the ways in which a woman can be supported by her partner during childbirth, birthing positions, and aspects of pain relief.
We want to prepare you for the birth of your child and give you confidence for the birth and the first time after. In special cases, such as premature labor or limited mobility, individual home birth preparation may be an alternative to a group class.

POSTNATAL RECOVERY COURSES
About 6 to 8 weeks after giving birth, it is important to strengthen the pelvic floor, abdomen, and back with specific exercises. Pregnancy, with its shift in center of gravity and significant increase in weight, puts a lot of stress on various parts of the body. In addition, stretching and relaxation exercises will help you feel better and relieve the neck and back muscles that are often tense from breastfeeding.

PRENATAL – YOGA
Prenatal yoga – yoga for mothers-to-be
You can practise prenatal yoga in every trimester of your pregnancy. The exercises are specially tailored to your individual needs – whether you want to alleviate physical discomfort, gather energy and strength for the birth or simply consciously take time for yourself and your baby. As well as strengthening your muscles, it also promotes your body awareness and intuition for the birth. A typical prenatal yoga class includes mobilizing the spine and pelvis, strengthening the leg and back muscles as well as relaxation and breathing exercises.
We will be offering this course again from January 2025.

POSTNATAL YOGA
Postnatal yoga – postnatal yoga after birth
Around 6-8 weeks after giving birth, you can take part in postnatal yoga with or without your baby. In carefully coordinated sequences of exercises, you will strengthen your muscles, build stability and learn to consciously control your muscles again. The focus is on strengthening the pelvic floor and abdomen and relieving pressure on the shoulders. This makes the transition to regular yoga classes or other sports easier. In addition, a typical postnatal yoga class places particular emphasis on recovery and balance in your new everyday life as a mother.
We will be offering this class again from January 2025.

QI GONG / NEI YANG GONG
Qi gong is an exercise method that translates as “working with qi (life energy)”.
Slow movements are used to create a conscious connection between body, breath and mind.
It forms one of the five pillars of traditional Chinese medicine and includes both physically moving Qi Gong with flowing movements and still Qi Gong without outwardly visible movement. In both forms, the exercises are performed with inner concentration and a focus on breathing, often in conjunction with inner images or mental pictures.
The “Nei Yang Gong – Inner Nourishing Qi Gong” series of exercises can be traced back historically to the Ming Dynasty (16th century). The Chinese doctor Liu Gui Zhen revised this system in the 1950s for therapeutic purposes and made it accessible to a wider public. His daughter Liu Ya Fei is currently the main proponent of this practice. She is the director of a Qi Gong and TCM clinic in Beidaihe, a renowned spa resort east of Beijing, where the Nei Yang Gong system is used for specific medical and therapeutic purposes.
